Getting chilly, so I'm...

As I was laying around on my parents couch this weekend I started to fill a bit chilly. I'm a hot-natured gal so I was completely surprised when I felt the goosebumps run up and down my body. Next thing I knew, I was telling my dad that it was time to start a fire! I'd go get the wood and he could start it up. Apparently Daddy thought it was just a bit early to start building fires. So I took off into dreamland and
imagined what it would be like laying around near these beauties!
I got to searching for the perfect little way to warm up a room and was happily content with this little roundup. There's nothing like the smell of wood burning and the crackle of the fire on a chilly, chilly day.
Are things cooling down on your side of town?

I agree - there's nothing better than curling up in front of a cozy fire. The smell of the wood burning and the crackle sounds the fire makes are soothing to me. Love the pics you gathered!! I'll go to one of those places in a heartbeat - it's still humid and hot here in Houston.

The second picture with the long table is beautiful. There is a house in the Hudson Valley hat has a fireplace so big you can walk right into it. So beautiful.

A big, cozy fire is one of my absolute favorite things about winter! It's not quite cold enough here yet, but you bet I can't wait until it is!

I love this post!! We don't have a fireplace (living in California) and I often dream of having a fireplace on cold winter days. Love, love the first all black photo.

I totally agree w you! Sundays are spent at my parents and since mom and I are always freezing the colder months means there is a fire to cozy up next to.
Love the round up!

Jealous, jealous, jealous...I'm getting reports of chilly weather on all sides and our "chilly" weather is no where in sight! But if I have to keep enduring our 100 degree temps, at least I have these awesome rooms to look at...seriously that top left room is amazeballs...I haven't used that word in a while and it seemed more than appropriate (c:
