Rooms Inspired by the Coast

Please welcome Jessica from Arcadian Lighting, as she is going to take you on a tour through some beautiful rooms inspired by the coast. This is the perfect time to start switching gears and prepping our minds for the looks of warmer, beachy months! Who's with me?!

*******************************************

Hi! I'm Jessica, I get to write about interior design for Arcadian Lighting, an awesome website for affordable lighting fixtures. I'm delighted to be a guest here at Coral Cafe because I'm going to be sharing a collection of modern living rooms inspired by the beauty of the coast. Fresh, bright colors, plenty of sunshine and sparkling glass accents, coastal interiors are nothing short of inviting. I hope you enjoy!

Coastal Living Room

The cool, casual and rustic atmosphere in this living room is inspired by Scandinavian design. The wood burning stove is a fun authentic feature.

Coastal Living Room

The vibrant yellow in this living room inspires wonderful memories days spent at the beach. The coral designed side table is a clever nod to the ocean theme without being too literal.

Coastal Living Room

Very pale yellows and blues give this living room a gentle, soothing atmosphere. The coral print on the arm chairs is a charming accent. I love the wall sconce above the fireplace, as well.

Coastal Living Room

This lovely, feminine living room draws on the Danish coast for inspiration. The simple furnishings, cozy blankets and pillows have icy dark blue and grey colors, with splashes of pink. A uniquely modern space.

Coastal Living Room

The bold red and blue colors and the variety of patterns in this living room have a very bohemian feel to them. Blue and white is instantly synonymous with the sea, as is the Grecian key pattern on the rug.

Coastal Living Room

I love the subtle nautical feel of this living room. Bright red accents and blue and white stripes draw on sailor's uniforms and the black and white print of a sailing ship is gorgeous. The oversized floor lamp is a very modern touch.

Coastal Living Room

Deep, dark shades of blue and coral patterns look beautiful against the all-white walls. The wicker furniture and the shades have a very casual feel that is perfect for this room.

Coastal Living Room

While this impressive living room already has a gorgeous view of the sea, the dÈcor takes on the brilliant warm colors of a coastal sunset. The room is also very modern with its simple lines, plain textiles and a pleasant ceiling light hanging in the distance. Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

Holiday Gift Guide Guest: Ten June

My sweet friend Michelle, from Ten June, is here today to share her Christmas Wish list with you!
She is one great source of inspiration for DIY projects, home remodeling and currently great photography skills! Check her out once you've adored her charming list!!

1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7

Hi dolls! I'm Michelle from Ten June, stopping by to share a little holiday cheer. I am just about giddy with excitement over this current holiday season... with it brings holiday food spreads, Christmas cocktails, parties, baked goods, twinkling lights, good cheer, amazing food... did I mention the food? Yeah I like to eat my way through the holidays : )

What the holiday season also brings is lots of gift giving. I'm on the ball this year, as I've already made my purchase of gifts for friends and family. And don't worry, I'm checking it twice. But isn't it fun to take a minute and maybe dream a little about what Santa will put under my tree for me? Let's just say I've thought about it... and I'll take one of each of those seven ah-mazing items above!

What do you want under your tree this year?

Thanks to the adorable Drew for letting me crash her blog today! xo

~Thank YOU, Michelle!! That sparkly skirt is breathtaking!!~

Pssst....I'm over at Small Shop sharing some New Year Fashion!!

Guest Post: IHOD {In Honor of Design}

Introducing you to one of my very first and one of my very favorite blogger gals, Anna from In Honor of Design!!
This beauty has uber talent and an incredibly huge heart!
Take it away girlfriend....!!

I am seriously so excited to be a guest over here at Coral Cafe. Drew has impeccable taste and I was kind of intimidated to be a guest, but  she also happens to be one of the sweetest bloggers I have met in the blogosphere, so how could I say no?? ;)

I wanted to share with you all one of my favorite color trends hitting the fashion world that I am DYING to try this season. Crimson Orange and Endive. I simply would have never thought to combine these colors, but I took a glance at a few of these photos to realize they were made to turn dreary winter days upside down. Even if the color pops are subtle like a lip or nail color, it just seems to work magically as if they were always meant to be. What do you think? Should I give it a go? You can check with me over at IHOD to see if I follow through with it this winter:)

Wishing you all a blessed Holiday Season!

~Anna~

The layout is incredibly beautiful, too, which has me checking back to glance at it constantly!

Guest Post: The Vault Files

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I have one of my favorite, favorite bloggers sharing with you today! She has an amazing blog and I always swoon over the outfits she puts together and the great inspiration she shares daily! I'll let the lovely Gaby take it away!

Hi everyone! I'm Gaby from The Vault Files and I'm thrilled to be here at Coral Cafe sharing some snaps from my humble abode here in Kone, New Caledonia.

When we moved from Toronto at the beginning of the year, bringing our furniture was not an option so when we got to the island we thought that buying just the essentials for a living period of 18 months was the right move. Thanks to a couple of small decor items I was able to bring in I'm quite happy how my bedroom turned out, hope you like it!

My ikat pillowcases make me smile every single day

The bedside table is a hand-me-down

My dresser

On top of my dresser, I bring my wedding pictures wherever we go

If I don't display my jewelry I forget what I have

Thank you so much Drew for asking me to guest post here at Coral Cafe, it's truly an honor to post on one of my favorite blogs! And thanks to all of you for taking the time to have a peek inside my bedroom ;)

I LOVE your style, accessories and beautiful set up in your room, Gaby!! It's so clean and sophisticated!! and I really want to steal your coral leopard purse!! ;) Thanks so much for sharing!!
